Happy New Year!! I’m so happy to be working at the Mechanicville Library! My name is Theresa Moore and I have worked here for a little over three years. I am a Library Clerk with  special attention to Public Relations and Publicity. Most recently the Director, Laura Fisher and I have been updating our website http://meclib.sals.edu. It is easier than ever to see what is happening at the Library by logging on.

I live across the river in Valley Falls with my husband David. My children are; Kevin, who works on a NASCAR crew with the Craftsman Truck Series, Jeremy, who is an Archeologist with Hartgen Archeological Associates of East Greenbush, and Julia, who is in the Computational Biology and Medicine Doctorate Program at Cornell University.

I was fortunate enough to work at home while my children were young and then in the Hoosic Valley School System and various area Preschools until I was hired here at the Library.

My interests include spending time with family and friends, cooking, traveling and Bible Study. Right now I am listening (in the car) to Cold Sassy Tree by Olive Ann Burns and just finished A Used World by Haven Kimmel. I also downloaded Brazilian Portuguese from eaudiobooks in anticipation of a trip to Brazil this summer. My favorite movies to recommend, at the moment, are Casanova, The Departed, A Good Year, and the Illusionist.
