The Office of Unclaimed Funds is responsible for overseeing and managing unclaimed assets and funds. These unclaimed funds typically come from various sources, such as forgotten bank accounts, uncashed checks, dormant utility deposits, insurance policies, and other financial instruments. Every day New York State returns $1.5 million to those who file claims here. How much is yours?
Join us in the library to reunite rightful owners with their unclaimed assets. When individuals or entities fail to claim or access their funds within a specified period, the funds are turned over to the state’s unclaimed property program.
