• Share your talents with the Mechanicville District Public Library! We are seeking local volunteers to host engaging teen workshops this fall and winter, focusing on creative hobbies like photography, hair styling, canning veggies, knitting, car maintenance, painting, cake decorating, candlemaking, soap making, making your own lotion, butter churning, repair electronics, tune a guitar, and anything you can think of. Empower the next generation by teaching these fun skills.If you are interested please contact Director Michelle Duell at the Mechanicville Library 518-664-4646.

Local History Collection:


The Library’s Ellsworth Room houses some of Mechanicville’s historical documents, including a photo collection of local Veterans, back issues of the Express and it’s predecessors, and Coach Weigle’s collection of Mechanicville Team photos. The building and organization for the Historical collection is an ongoing project.

The Ellsworth room is open to in-person visitors. Sign-in and photo ID is required to view the room. You will have full access to our irreplaceable collection. Stop by the service desk to gain access to the materials, or call 518.664.4646 with any questions. Thank you for your cooperation!
